■ JACK AND THE BEANSTALK. Plenty of fun is obtained nightly at the entertaining pantomime "Jack and the Beanstalk" at the Opera House, lhe gorgeous attire of the pretty girls in the numerous ballets, the succession of scenic changes/and the bright music and topical contributions hold the interest right through the piece. • _•-.;■; '.- : THEATRE ROYAL. Vaudeville lovers are well catered for at' the -Theatre Royal at present. Tho list of artists includes. the -well-known Keldine and Klimo trick cyclists; the Lewis Sisters; the eccentric musical comedians, Harlaml and Hollison, and many others who amuse and entertain. HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. The standard of films at His 'Majesty's Theatre at present is exceptionally high. One of the best pictures is that depicfmg the recent investiture at Carnarvon Castle 'of-the Prince of Wales. Another is the spectaculai .drama "Tho Bride of the Nile." • . ■ . . ■ '

The programme- will bo repeated for the last time to-day, and there will be a complete change of films for to-morrow. Messrs MacMahon and Donnelly, the proprietors, have now mado certain arrangementa in regard to tho vestibule, and they havo been ablo to nfr up a I ladies' room. THE KING'S THEATRE. At the King's Theatre last evening the spectators were delighted with then hu of the investiture of tho Tnnco of Wales at tho picturesque Carnarvon Castle. Other Rood pictures wero: lhe Crooked Way," A Cose of High Treason,' and the Patho Gazette series.
"THE CHANCE OF A LIFETIME." On Monday, evening next Mr. William Anderson's company, after concluding a hi"hly successful season in the South Island, will present the successful racing drama, "The Chance of a Lifetime.' This is the. first play from the pen of the sporting writer, Nat Gould, and it should be of additional interest to theatre-goers by reason of the fact that, for _ many years, tho author was a. journalist in Australasia, as well as.'a racing expert. The bos plan is on view at the Dresden.
