LABOUR PARTY.
A MEETING AT BROOKLYN. Thcro was an attendance of, about' 20 persons at a meeting of the newly-formed Brooklyn .branch or the Labour party held in Fullford's Hall last evening. Mr. I. Barras presided. Twelve now members were admitted. The following officebearers were appointed President, Mr. J. Barras; treasurer. Mr. E. J. Shcnrmc; secretary, Mr. J. Jloolo; a provisional committco was appointed, the election of a permanent committee being deferred pending a further increase in membership. The secretary was instructed lo get into touch with other branches with a view to co-operation in preparation, for the approaching election campaign. Mr. A. H. liindiiKU'sh ' attended as a visitor from the Wellington branch and delivered an address upon (he platform anil aims of tho Labour party. At its close lie was accorded a vote of thanks,
