MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
(Before Mr. W. G. Riddell, S.M.) \John Sullivan was fint)d 20s. for drunkenness. Joseph Barrett was sentenced to 21 days' imprisonment for drunkenness, and a prohibition order was issued against him.
Richard Thomas Williams .was charged with committing the theft of two pairs of gloves and on© muffler, valued at ,£l. tho property of Herbert Marryatt and others. Ho pleaded guilty, and was remanded till-August 21 for sentence. A boy of 11- years was remanded- till September 2 for sentence respecting ' an assault upon a girl of five years.
