BLACK DAYS FOR THE FARMER.
$ , DISEASE AND FODDER SHORTAGE. By Telegraph—Press Association-Gopyrieht (liec. August 17, 11.10 p.m.) Berlin, August 17. A total of 76G9 farms are affected with foot-and-mouth disease. In consequence of the scarcity of fodder a slaughter of cattle is apprehended. Tho Government is considering tho reduction of railway rates on fodder to render possible importation from abroad.
