6 -• FORECAST AND SUMMARY. Present indications are for rain generally, and heavy in parts, with rivers risine. Strong northerly winds, veering to westerly, will probably prevail, and a falling barometer everywhere. The barometer has had a falling tendency, with increasing cloudiness and rain falling in most parts of the country. Northerly winds have prevailed, strong to eale=, on the Wert Coa-st of the South Island, and in the- northern districts. DISTRICT REPORTS, IFrom Our Special Correspondents.!
