TRADE IN ALLEN ■ STBEDT. Fruit.—The Ma'itai is due from the Cook Islands on Thursday with further kunnlies of Island orances and bananas, and these should, reach a. good market. The Xavua is due from Fiji with the regular monthly shipment of bauauas. Tho Ulimaroa is due from Sydney to-day with the usual consignment of mandarines, Seville oranges, lemons, and passion fruit. On Friday fresh Euppiie3 of Tasmanian apples are due. Vegetables.—lmmediate consignments of cauliflowers p.re recommended,' choice quality bringing 15s. to 20a.; choice cabbages are realisiuit 12s. per sack. A cood demand exists for celery, parsnlp3, and carrots.
Onions.—Victorian-grown are offerme at 6s. to 7s. per cwt., according to sample. Potatoes.—Prime table potatoes are meeting with good sale at £4 ss. to £4 10s. per ton. There is also a good demand for seed, potatoes. I"our.—New Zealand flour remains at £8 10.--. no? ton. Jess the customary discounts. Pollard is selHnir at.£6 Ms. to £7 per ton. Bran' is quoted at £5 15s.
Rico meal is now offering at £4 15s. per ton, and rice flour at .£5.155. to £6. Oats.—The market continues firm, "A grade fiartons, 2s. 7d. per bushel; "A" grade Hparrowbills. 2s. 6Jd. Maize meets with fair business, at 3s. 2d. Baled straw is selling at £3 to £3 ss.
Baled Hay.—Prime finality, £4 10s. per ton: choice (rye and,clover), £5 10s.. f>g?.—Fresh cues have tleclined in value, amf are now quoted at Is. per dozen. Butter.—Prime bulk is in excellent demand at Is. Id. to Is. 2d. ■ Lard in bulk is etcady at Bd. t>er lb., and in pots at Bsd. Margarine.—Australian meets with moderate inr.uiry. at B'd- to 9d. per lb. Cheese— Best factory is without change, at 63d.: loaf. 63d. ,',-,_••. .
