In an interview Mr. Fisher 'declared that he had been consulted regarding iho Anglo-Japanese Treaty, but it was so obviously delicate a subject that ho did not discuss it publicly. Referring to (he Imperial Conference, the Prime Minister said he was sure it would grow, even tojhe extent of cmbracing other nations. He declined to criticise Sir Joseph Ward's proposal for an Imperial Legislature. THE REFERENDA QUESTIONS. Melbourne, August 14. Mr. Fisher declares that 110 will resubmit tho referenda questions, which tho' electors replied to adversely in April last, at tho next election, probably in a modified form.
