ANOTHER SCENE IN CUBA STREET.
THE POLICE TAKE A HAND. A Tather too exuberant opposition was again in evidence at an oper-air, antimjlitary meeting held at the comer )of Dixon and Cuba Streets last evening, but ;i strong force of police, consisting of ten constables from Lamliton Police Station, seven from Mpiint Cook, under control of Inspector Ellison ami .Sub-Inspec-tor Shoohan, uero Uiuro to prevent n recurrence of tho previous Sunday ovening's episode. As it was, while Mr. Itobort Hogg-was speaking, a section of tho crowd rushed the platform and overturned it. Owing to the action of the polica Die crowd, however, which numbered about JOO, began to disperse rather hurriedly, and it is stated that one or two liavo to appear at I'ourt lo answer charges of disturbing tho peace. After the incident at the comer, tho anti-military agitators botook themselves to tho Socialist Hall in Manners Street, where they held their meeting in peace and quietness, taking care to admit nobody whose presence they thought would be a disturbing clement. A largo number of people, continued to line tho street in the vicinity of the hall until llio meeting was over, but nothing else happened.
