(Palmerston Nortii branch) roport:—At Pahnerston yesterday we had a medium entry' of both eheep and cattle, and effected a good clearance at late ratO3. Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Auckland branch) reports:—"At the Wcst.fleld yards on Thursday (last week) we held our weekly sale of dairy and store cattle. There was a smaller yarding than usual, and prices were a shade easier. Best dairy cows sold at from £7 10s. to £8 17s. 6d.; others, £4 7=. 6d. to .£6 lCs.; empty cows, £2 ss. to £3 15s. At the Albert. Street yards on Friday, last week, horses wcro brought forward in average numbers, and competition was not as keen as on the previous week. Heavy draughts' sold at from £25 10s. to £33; medium draught, £18 to £27; light harness horses and kacks, £5 to £14 10s.: gig do £17. At Clevedou on Saturday last we held our usual sale of cattle arid sheep. There was a • small yarding, and ruling prices were realised. Dairy cows sold at from £4 15s. to £7 10.=.; empty cows, to £3 12s. 6d.; calves, £1 155.: sheep, 12s. to Ms. 6d.; pigs, 10s. to 123. At. Pu-kekohe, on Saturday last, we held a special dairy sale, when 356 dairy cows and heifers came forward.
