Some little "excitement" aros-3 in the Territorial camp on the show grounds on Tuesday evening through one of tho tents being destroyed by lire. A candle, left casually burning, is suspected 'as * the cause. A bazaar was opened yesterday afternoon by the Mayor at St. Peter's Sunday Schoolroom, Terrace End. Mr. H. S. Por•tcous was general manager of tho iair, and stalls wero presided over by:' Mesdames Porteous, H. M'Kenzie, Lewis, Fairbrother, Kuhtze, Bennett, Mansford, I>\ Solicit, Moore, and Allen, and Misses Lowers, Smith, Wilkinson. Mowbray, Buck, Davis, nnd Wood. The object of the bazaar is to raise funds towards extinguishing the debt on the Sunday School-room. Tho Glen Orona School Committee are arranging to hare swimming baths erected. The local .Tent of Juvenile Rechabites entertained members of the Church of Christ Band of Hope- at a "social" last evening. Mr. J. S. Munro, superintendent, had charge of the arrangements. The technical School Cadets are arrans:ing to hold a "social" shortly as a benefit to one of their fellow members, who mot with a serious accident some, time back.
