HOCKEY.
THE CHALLENGERS -ARRIVING. The Auckland representatives will arrivo in town this aiternoou, and will stay at the Occidental Hotel to-night. Qn' Thursday they gp across to Day's Bay for practice, staying at Day's Bay Houpo till after the shield match on Saturday. From accounts, the visitors arc a good combination, aiid they will , make a strong Attempt to recover the shield from Wellington. The local representatives are to travel across to the bav by the 1.15 p.m. boat next Saturday. The Auckland Association have sclectel Messrs. Falconer and Gendall as referees.
