One of his -staff stated that Mr. Fisher got Iho shock of his life at Colombo on reading 'Mr. Stead's alleged interview with him in tho "lieviow of Hcvicws." The official said ho never saw a man so thunderstruck. Mr. risher, on being questioned himself regarding the matter, said he had nothing 'more to say, as he thought what ho had said at Colombo covered' the ground. He might add, "It would have been stupid of me to say that wo would haul down the Union .Tack and hoist our own flag and start 'on our own.' We could not hoist our own flap, because it was always flying here.
