METHODIST HYMNAL.

DECISION OF THE BRADFORD CONFERENCE. The question of publishing a supplement to tho present Hymnal was the dominating subject in tho discussions lat the recent Primitive Methodist Conference at Bradford. The action of.(lie last Conference m appointing a committee to prepare and publish such a supplement provoked considerable opposition, and many of the districts had entered protests against proceeding further before the local courts had had an opportunity of expressing an opinion. A lengthy debate followed a proposal to delay the matter until the minds of tho Church as represented by its districts synods had' been ascertained, and the result of the debate was to reaffirm the decision of tho previous conference for the preparation of a supplement'.

The generosity of Sir W. P. Hartley and Ladv Hartley in presenting a second pair of Homes at Harrogate for'the purposes of an orphanage was cordially acknowledged.

The report of the work among the young people showed decreases of 775 and IBIS in tho number of teachers and scholars respectively. These decreases were contributed to by nearly every district in tho connexion.
