IMPORTANT TRIALS MADE OX HERVE SUFFERERS AT THE IMPERIAL STATE'HOSPITAL AT ST. PETERSBURG. Scarcely tiro year? have, olapsco , "si'nco ' wide spread interest was aroused- bj" the startling announcement of a wonderful discovery for the successful treatment of nervous disorder*. As is ntual in tlic case of all great scientific discoveries, the. announcement was .received sceptically by tonic people, but, on tho other band, theau.ilpis of thp-new preparation .attracted the attention: of eminent physicians, and they, realising the enormous importance of the discovery, prescribed it immediately for their patients. Remarkably successful results were quickly obtained. Among tho most eminent physicians who made interesting trials with the new preparation was Br. Giuseppe Lapnoiii, I'liysiciaii-in-llrdinary to his Holiness Pope i'ius X, but important and remarkable as'were his trials, they almost appear insignificant in comparison with those which have just been reported upon by Dr. Lion, Director of the Imperial ifussinu Slato Hospital for Lpilcntics at St. Petersburg. Apart from the high position which Dr. Lion holds in the medical profession, ho is recognised as one of the greatest living authorities on nervous disorders, and consequently the utmost, value attaches to his report. The casrs which he selected fov trial were—to soy the least—regarded as of a most, hopeless nature, and yet, notwithstanding that almost incredible fact, triumphant success has resulted of tho most astounding character that has ever boen disclosed to the medical profession. HOPELESSLY RKUARDKD CASES. The first ea.-« in Dr. Lion's report is (h.-il; of a student, 1!) years of .150. Hi> suffered from Neurasthenia in a very acute form', ami his ca-c is of exceptional interest to the medical profession and public alike, because hie symptoms were those which thousands of persons have experienced without actually being able to name their illnesses. The student's symptoms were depressed menial condition, extreme irritability, violence, changeable and abrupt humour, inability to work consistently, weakness of memory, loss of appetite, tendency to constipation. This particular case, was trested with "AXTIXEURASTJIIX" and after the incredibly short space of a fortnight's treatment Dr. Lion reported ns follows:-"An increased, nppenre, nnd sleep; in addition, constipation had disappeared, and so had his tendency to tire rapidly of his work, thus producing an increase in his working cnpibility. His temper had become more equable, calm, persistent, and generally his self-confidence has remarkably improved." The second case was ( .ue of Hysteria. The sufferer, a yoiinir lady of Iff, wai continually in a s'.ate. of nervousness, and generally emanated. There was an an-, solute loss of appetite, with severe constipation. "AXTTXEURAS'I MIX was administered, three tablets, a day for a fortnight., with excellent resiilts. .1 he patient is now well on the way 10 lull health. The, Hysteria has subsided, and there lias returned n rpleudid appetite fur food. . The third ense was that of another v n<1111? lady, who had been suffering for Fomc considerable time from that most distressing nervous disorder. Epilepsy. Tll<> symptoms were Anaemia, general debility, cons'ant headaches, and constipation, and i) tendency tolling weakness. The sufferer was given Ilirce "AXriM'jU.AhTHIX" tablet* a day for two weeks, with the retult thai the girl has now reinrned to health, liur mind is rejuvenated, and from a weak, morose being she hits turned to a cheerful, happy, healthy person. . , , . , The fourth wa- of a similar nature, the pnlient particularly Ijeiug very do- , pressed. "AXTIXEUKASTIUX" was adminibUi-eil, and in three weeks time a successful cure was Cr-ta'ilishcd. . The fifth case, one of chronic dipsomania, was rlisiradmsrri by prononncorl iihvsical and mental exhaustion and severe digs 'ive disorder. UK. IIAIU JIAVN h "VXTIXEUKASTJHX" was administered,, and Uer three weeks a spleiulld improvement was noted. The-patient is J"- , "' 111 cut ;!..;•■ calm, and the whole system has been brought back to health. BIUUIA.NT ACHIEYEMKXTS UNI'\RALLELEI). These trials constitute an achievement, the b-.iliancy of which must appeal ■ to the entire medical profession, for the resii'. , .* arc without parallel in tho whole history of- Xeurasihcnia. Although only five cases have been reported on, thousands of" others of an equal or less acuto nature have also been treated as a matter of course with successful results. Xow, if these cases had been treated in tho old way of administering stimulants or medicinal tonics, it is certain I hat. the conditions of the sufferers would have gone from bad to worse. Mr H V. Goddard, of 2)0 Watson's Buildings. Auckland, has arranged for supplies of Antiiieura.-.tliiu for Xew Zealand, and will send sample, together with , valuable treatise, on receipt of stamps for nincpence-and has such strong faith in t'io wonderful beneficial properties of Aiitinenrasthin that he is confident that this' trial supply will demonstrate its v:ilue. Xervc sufferers who desire to 1» restored to full health should communicate without delay, awn experience for thems«ives what a wonderful preparation "AXTIXKURASTHIN is.
