. «■ - Tho JTawko's Bay Ploughing Association held its annual competitions yesterday at Longhands. There were large entries for tho different events, and the attendance of the public was very satisfactory. All the bos,t ploughmen in the district were competitors, and some very fine work was accomplished. The results were: A. Class, for championship: Myers (Takaqau), 1; Kendall, 2; J. M'Nab, :). B Class: Young (Omnpcro), 1; Ct. Wells, 2; Glover, .1. wells was awarded first prize for the best strike-out of the field, and Kendall tho first prize for tho best finish. Three-furrow team: Douglas's and To Mahanga's teams, first and second. Jumping: Jlr. Eaeger's, Paddy Doyle, 1; Mr. C. Hart's Playboy, 2. Stepping competition: C. Hart, 1. Weight-guessing: Masters 1, and lan Simson 2. A protest has been- entered against Myers, tho championship winner.
