OVERSEAS INSPECTION. NEW ARRANGEMENTS OUTLINED. Uy TolesraDb—Vress Association—CopyriEhi (lice. August 1, 0.20 p.m.) London, August 1. The report of the Conference on Imperial Defeneo has been published. The Inspector-General' of tho Oversea Forces will only inspect the Dominions' forces by invitation from the different Governments concerned. Tho Inspector-General's functions include the inspection of coastal defences, but he will not interfere with local military policy or schemes unless invited. TRAINING OF OVERSEAS OFFICERS. (Rec. August 2, 11 p.m.) London, August 1. The Imperial Defence Committee has recommended the provision of increased accommodation at tho Staff College at Camberley to enable not loss than fourteen overseas officers to bo admitted annually, the Dominions to contribute tho increased cost on tho basis of an annual per capita payment for each student of approximately .£2OO.
