Jle was working the milk hoist taking in supplies, when his hand was caught with the result that his thumb and one linger were severed, and other lingers badly hurt. DIED l"KOM Bt'BNS. (By Teleeraph--Press Association.) Auckland, August 1. The four-year-old son of Mr. Thomas) Hay, of Hichmond Hoad, Mount Albeit, has died in hospital as tho result of burns. The boy's mother found him enveloped in tininei!, his clothes having evidently caught lire while she. was outside tho house. She took prompt, measures lo extinguish the flames, but t'ho. burns were so serious that nothing could avert a fatal result.
