SUICIDE.

$ (By Telegraph— Press Association.) Christchurch, July 29. A man named Buchanan, an inmate of the Salvation Army llome, committed suicido last night by cutting his throat with a razor. At the inquest Adjutant Stevens stated that at 8.30 p.m. deceased appeared to be in his usual mental and physical condition, but later was found in the yard lying face downwards on a heap of ashes with his throat cut. Witness believed his age was thirty-two. Another witness stated that deceased had been melancholy during the past fortnight. A verdict that deceased committed suicide whilst in a state of unsound mind was returned.
