APPENDICITIS.
40,000 OPERATIONS A YEAR. By Telegraph—Press Association—Oopyrieht London, July 28. At the meeting of tho British Medical Association, Professor Jordan Lloyd estimated that there were 2276 deaths from appendicitis a year in England and Wales, and 40,000 operations for appendicitis in a year.
In the United Kingdom 600,000• general operations were performed philanthropically annually.
