The temperature is 108 degrees in the shade in many places, and 115 degrees in Silesia. r Deaths from sunstroke are numerous. COLD SNAP IN ADELAIDE. Adelaide, July 26. The temperature to-day is 23.3 degrees in the shade—tho coldest on record. According to the "Commonwealth Year Book" the previous lowest temperature recorded during the past 53 years was' 32 deg. Fahr. on July 24, 1908. The lowest temperature recorded in any Australian capital was 27deg. in Melbourne on July 21, 1869. -.
