In a short interview, Sir. Mr. Beaven said that the character of tho discussion with the Minister yesterday was a verv regrettable, one, but there was no doubt that the situation had been saved by Mr. Booth's (netful and conciliatory action. If it had not been for I hat there would certainly have been a vorj awkward deadlock.
