TARIFF PREFERENCE.
AN AUSTRALIAN ALTERATION,

The Minister for Customs (Mr. Tudor) has decided to allow preference for goods wholly manufactured in tho United Kingdom, instead of goods 25 per cent of whose finished value is represented by the wages of British workmen. Tho Teason of the change is that wages constitute a low proportion of ihe value of many articles.
