In the Coal Vend case to-day Mr. Mitchell, counsel for the shipping companies, admitted that in 190G and 1907 people experienced a difficulty in obtaining the class of coal they wanted, but that was in consequence of the exceptionally largo demand from foreign markets. There had been no suggestion of any difficulty since 1908.
