Hichardson (City Electrical Engineer) states that the revenue of the electric lighting department for tho mouth of June, 1911, shows an increase of .£177, and Iho expenditure a decrease of £2, as compared with last year. Included in the expenditure, .however, is an amount of ,£GIC, "Exhibition expenses," against which there will be a substantial credit for Roods and material returned when Hie Exhibition is closed. Aftw allowing for ojtiiimted capital charges, there is a credit balance to date of .£2912, from which appropriations covering cost of removal and rc-ercction of boilers in the lighting station, amounting to .£GS3, will be made, leaving a net 6ur. plus of .£2229.
