A considerable number of poultry, implements, furniture, and farm sundries was also sold' at satisfactory prices. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—At I'almorston North on Thursday we offered a fair yarding of sheen, including a line of 12C0 store wethers on account of Mr. A. Harding, of Siberia, which realised 123. .10d. A small entry of cattle met with littie demand. Quotations:—Store wethers, 12?. ICd.: good lambs, 10s. 2d.; small lambs. ss. lOd.; enl! wethers. 9s. 5d.; store cows. .£2 to £3 10s.; fat cows, £5 lCs.; weaners. 20s.

The Now Zealand, Loan and Mercantilo Agency Company, Limited (Palmerston North branch; report:—On Wednesday wo had another successful de.iry sale, when we offered Mr. E. Jones's herd at Karcre. Thn cows were young, and of good duality, and were keenly competed for. the herd averaging £7 18s. Cows in milk made £5 2s. 6d, to £11 55.: cows close to profit. £6 ss. to £13 17s. 6(1.; September calvcrs. £5 ss. to £9 55.; late calvers, £2 to .£4 10s.: ■ springing heifers. £5 ss. to .£6 10s.: heifers in calf, £4 to £4 18s.; weanors, 285.; breeding sows, £2.
