Works, arrived at Greymouth yesterday, and was met on arrival by the Mayor, Sir Arthur Guinness, -and prominent citizens. . He received a very cordial welcome.—Press Association. Jlr. W. 11. Hcrrics, M.P., was in Wellington yesterday. The funeral of the late Mr. George Ilepple, who was drowned in the harbour on Coronation Day, tool: place at the Lower Unit yesterday afternoon. The Coronation Exhibition was visited yesterday by a eontingtiit of boys from the Wercioa Training I'nnn (Levin), who came down by train in charge of Major Burlinson yesterday morning. The boys were accompanied by their band, which played them from the station to (Iu Exhibition, and nbo played several selections in the building. The children of St. Joseph's School, Newtown, abo visited the Exhibition yesterday.
■Mr. John Johnston. of "Winton," Karori Iload, lias received word by c.iblo that his son, Mr. W. H. .lohnston, 8.A., has passed his final examination in mcdicins at Edinburgh.
Information lias" been received by private cable that Mr. H. Hutson, M.8., Ch.13., Edin., son of the Eev. B. Ilutson, of Brooklyn, has just received the degree of M.D., Kdin. l)r. Hutson has been engaged principally in surgery since ho graduated. He" intends remaining in Britain a few months longer to continuo his studies in surgery, and then to return to New Zealand to settle and practise surgery.
Mr. E. H. Taylor, Jr.P. for the Thames, has decided to offer himself for rr-olro-tion. Mr. T. W. Khodes, editor ami proprietor of the Coromandel paper, will also be a candidate.
