MOTOR SMASH IN KENT. > Bγ Telegraph—Frees Assoclatfon-Oopyrtehl London, July 18. Sir George Ecid, High Commissioner for Australia, while motoring at Broadstairs, in Kent, was seriously injured in a collision. The car containing Sir George vras struck broadside on by another car, and forced against a tram standard. Sir George Reid's arm was broken in two places, and he was severely shaken. His son was also badly shaken, and his daughter seriously injured. The High Commissioner and his eon proceeded to a hotel, and Miss Reid was taken to a hospital. They are all reported to be progressing favourably. The impact was so violent that the tram standard was cracked, and the car smashed to pieces
