MASTERTON NOTES.
IB* Telccrtlth.-SDecial Correspondent.! Masterton, July 17. Mr. Con. Vallance, who is leaving the Masterton district to take up land at "airoa, was entertained by the settlers of Bideford on Saturday night, and was made the recipient of a presentation. It is estimated that building and other contracts to tho value of JJ20.000 aro now in progress in Masterton. At a meeting of the Masterton Trust Lands Trustees to-night, tho estimates for the ensuing year were adopted. These show expected receipts on general account amounting to XICSO, and expenditure .C 1522 3s. Bd. A meeting of the Management Committee- of the Wairarapa Hockey Association was held to-night, when arrangements were made for the forthcoming representative fixtures.
