THE "A" AND "B" GRADE PRO-' "•. POSAL. . • At a meeting of directors of tho - NeVtowh Bowling Club on Friday night, committees were set up as follow:—Ground; Mean's.-Bland, Armstrong, Castle; match, Barnes, Underwood, J. SextonV jefre'shijicnt, Bland, Scott, Salmon, Powell; and Castle. Regarding a suggestion by. tie Wellington Bowling Centre to do away with tho senior and tho junior pcnnnnts (tho latter for one and two-year players)' arid institute in, lieu thereof A and B grade pennants, it was' resolved' to .instruct the club's delegates to support tho continuance of tho present system, it being' considered that tho division and rating of members into A and B grades would tend, to disturb the camaraderie that oxists on a bowling green.
A PLEASANT EVENING. Tho directors of tho Kelburno Bowling Club entertained members nt a. "smoke night" on Friday evening. A progressive euchre tourney was played, the first prize being won by Mr. M. White, and the coneolation by Mr. R. H. Webb. The music was kindly provided by Messrs, Dntry and Archer/ and a very wjoyablo evening was enhanced bv items from Messrs. Widdop, .M'Coll, Blanchard, Baldwin, Webb, ■ and It has been decided to hold a progressive euchre party and dance at an early date. '
