Visitors are present from as far south as Taranaki, Wanjjanui, and Bangitikei, and a large quantity of provisions, etc., have been procured lo feed. them. Tho daily consumption is some ten tons of potatoes, 12 tons tumaras, 5 tons of pipis, 1 ton of mussels, 8 sacks of eels, 6 bullocks, S pigs, fish, sugar, biscuits, etc., in large quantities, and from 200 to 250 loaves of bread.
