Hordman, M.P., arrived in Oamaru to-day and was entertained by a iiumber of citizens, tho Mayor welcoming tho inomber as on old boy ,of Oamaru. Thcro ; was a largo and enthusiastic audience to bear l\is address in tho Opera House' in tho evening. Mr. Herdman ■was tlccorided. a patient hearing, and at the close of liis address tho resolution was carried unanimously, amidst Spplcrtise: — That* tho residents of North Otago, , ' in public sieeting assembled, express the opinion that tho time has arrived when, in tho interests of \viso legislation and sound administration, prompt steps should bo .taken by tho peoplo of tho Dominion to remove tho present .Government- from office. AVlicn the voto of thanks to Mr. Herdman was proposed tho audience roso and sang "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow." Mr. Herdmuu exprcsod himself as delighted ' with his reception.
