Messrs. Dalsety and Company, Limited (Palmerston North) report:—Wo have to report having held a dairy sale, on account of Captain .1. D. E. Hewitt, at his farm. Linton. on Tuesday, July 12, .when we offered his herd of dairy cows to a. very fair attendance of _ buyers. The c.ittle were in good condition, and met with keen competition. August and September calver? maintained . a . uniform price throughout, the former selling at. £7 10s., £7H5s. to £B U. 6d.-. and the latter, from £5 15s. to £7 ss. Late calvers sold from .£5 to £6 ICs.: store cows, to £3; forward cows, to £4 155.; two-year hcifws, to £3 17s. 6d.: Grade Jersey woannr heifers, £3 tr,.6:1.; bulb, £3 17=., £4,' to 7 guineas;- milkcans, etc.. at current rates.
