The Public Works Department gazettes the following list of tenders for additions and alterations to Eltham post office:—J. Ryan and Son, EHham, £1130 (accepted); G'ubb and Willis. Eltham/ £1150; Blackball and Co., Eltham, £1250. The tender of W. N. Bninton and Son, Musselburgh, Scotland (c.i.f. Greyinoutb), £1327 12s. fid., for wire rope for Point Elizabeth Stito colliery, No. 2, has been accented.' This is tho lowest tender in a. list of seven, all from British firms.
