HAWKE'S BAY KENNEL CLUB'S SHOW.
s (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Napier, July 12. The Hawke's Bay Kennel Club's fourteenth annual show was held in the Drill Hall to-day. Exhibits were received from all parts of the Dominion. The challengo certificates were won as follow:— Bulldog.—W. C. Dunningham's Chelsea J,ad; bitch, Mrs. C. Hooper's Wharekoki Tiki. Rough-coated Collie Dog—B. A. Drury's Terrace Cornet; bitch, J. G. Parker's Mosgiel Sensation, a daughter of tho champion Mosgiel Wallace, who also won the Ladies' Bracelet for large varieties, and special for best bitch in tho show. Pugs (black).—Airs. J. H. White's Dusky, who was also the bracelet winner for small varieties; bitch, Mrs. J, H. White's Biddy Fawn, rugs.—H. Hill's Raymond.
C. L. Thomas's Otto of Scindo won in every class for smooth-coated fox terriers, and the same owner's Odol of Scinde and Lyfol of Scindo swept the board of the first prizes for both sexes in the wirehaired fox terrier classes.
The Admiralty announces that Captain C. E. Anson has been promoted to the rank of rear-admirnl. Rear-Admiral A. W. Ewart is placed on tho retired list, aud Captain tho Marquis of Bristol is placed oil the retired list with the rank of rear-admiral. .
