WELLINGTON. SHARE MARKET. There were very few transactions on the Wellington Exchange yesterday. Kcw Sylvias were slightly firmer, with buyers at 3s. lid., but it is doubtful whether tho jobbing-brokers will give tho shares a chance. The Now Sylvia battery is expeuted to begin crushing some time nest week, and it is usual for shares to improve under such circumstances, more especially if there is plenty of good payiug stone at grass, as is the case with the Isew Sylvia. If the jobbing-brokers start over-selling they can break the markot with a few thousand shares. The Auckland trouble has yet to be settled, and it is by- no means certain that the ending will be satisfactory. The sale 3 recorded yesterday were as under , Talisman, 50s. 6d.
