MISMANAGEMENT ALLEGED,

New York, July 9. In connection with the Santa Rosa wreck, a passenger states that tho captain stood on tho bridge armed, and threatened passengers who wished to be sent ashore.

It was only when the vessel began to break up, and the men went in a body threatening violence, that preparations were, made to save those on board.

This report, however, was later denied. Tho latest news confirms the report that only four lives were lost.

The rescued passengers dcclaro that tho officers' mismanagement caused the disaster.
