Their Majesties' State entry into Dublin was characterised by au inspiriting display of loyalty. Replying to an address of welcome, King George said ho regretted the. briefness of his stay. He had desired to take tho earliest opportunity of coining amongst tho Irish people, in whose welfare his interest was deep and abiding. The King opened tho Royal College of Science, visited Trinity College, and attended the Phoenix Park races. The warmth of the reception of the King at Dublin exceeded all expectations. The Lord Mayor intended presenting an address at Leehon Bridge, which the corporation refused to sanction. The intention was checkmated by someone daubing the seats allotted to the Mayoralty party with paint. To-day the Royal party visited St. Patrick's Cathedral, and afterwards went to Maynooth College. AT MAYNOOTH COLLEGE. CARDINAL LOGUE'S WELCOME. (Hec. July 10, 10.10 p.m.) • London, July 10. The King and Queen have visited the Roman Catholic College at Maynooth. Six hundred of the students were absent on vacation. Cardinal Lpgue and fourteen bishops received their Majesties, and presented an address of welcome. The Cardinal stated that he had followed the Coronation with deep interest, and was able to share without reserve in that auspicious ceremonial. The King replied that he was touched by the thought that Maynooth shared in th& joy of the Coronation, which was a great and sacred occasion in tho life of himself and the Queen. The reception that day was an example of the affectionate greeting which had always been accorded by tho warm-hearted Irish people to their Majesties. The King and Queen visited the Royal Hospital at Kilmainham, where 350 veterans paraded. OFFICIAL PROGRAMME.' Tho official programme of the State visit to Ireland of the King and Queen is as follows:— Their Majesties on Saturday afternoon arrived in Dublin, and proceeded to Dublin Castle, where they were to be received by the Lord Lieutenant bearing the Sword of State. At 2.45 p.m. they proceeded to the Royal College of Scienco for the opening ceremony. They were afterwards to visit the Thoenix Park racecourse, and would drive thence to the Viceregal Lodge, inspecting Lord Iveagh's play centre later, and attending a dinnerparty at tho castle in tho evening. Yesterday the King was to receive addrosses at the castlo, and afterwards hold a Levee there. The Queen was to'receivean address from tho women of Ireland, and then visit the Coombe Hospital. Later their Majesties were to visit Leopardstown racecourse, and on returning to the castle were to give a stato | banquet, his Majesty afterwards holding' a Chapter of the Order of St. Patrick. To-day the King will inspect the Royal Irish Constabulary at the Viceregal Lodge, and will also attend a review of the troops and the presentation of in Phoenix Park. In theaftern'oon-fJiofo will be a garden party at the Viceregal Lodge, and. in the evening a Court will be held in the castle.
On Wednesday forenoon their Majesties will embark in the Victoria and Albert on their return to England.
