At tho Christian Endeavour Society's Convention at Atlantic City, the President, Mr. Taft, announced that tho Anglo-American arbitration agreement was certain to bo carried into effect. Ho expressed the liopo that other European countries would follow suit, thus creating a formidable instrument against war. Mr. Taft alluded to the South American and Spanish-American wars as "froak wars," and announced the signing of a fur and seal treaty, which, ho hoped meant the beginning of a system of ocean game laws.
