TROUBLE ON A BARQUE.
SEAMEN SENTENCED,
(By Tolcerapli.—Press Associations New Plymouth, July 0, In the Magistrate's Court this afteiv noon Audreara, Andreas, Lodbcrg, Hansen, and Paul Paulsen, seamen on tho barque Margit, were charged with having used obscene language this morning on the deck of the Vessel while lying at tho wharf within tho hearing of persons in a public placc. There were about a hundred persons on the wharf at tho time. Accused were each sentenced to fourteen days' hard labour. A further charge of assault was laid against Pauf Paulsen by the captain. It appeared that accused made his way to the cuptain's cabin this morning with a plato of meat, and after inquiring if (hat was the kind of food to pivo a man after a long voyago threw tho plato and its contents at tho captain, and then knocked him down. Not content with this lie entered tho mate's cabin, upset the table, and broke a good deal of crockery. Tho penalty allotted for this was 14 days' hard labour, the sentences to bo concurrent.
