The "Westminster Gazette" contains an j article appreciative of Sir Thomas GibsonCarmichael (late Governor of Victoria), who, it states, is entitled to be regarded as an ideal colonial Governor by Australian business men. The paper emphasises Sir Thomas Gib-son-Carmichael's work in visiting industrial and producing centres of Victoria, and insists on the value of Lady Carmichael's work in women's spheres.
