Tho inquest concerniny the death of til* young woman, Miss Llsic Alexandra Holland at tho house of Mrs. O'Shaughnessy, at Kiiigsland, on tho morning of June H, under pteuliar circumstance?, was concluded before Mr. T. Grcsham (c.oroncr) and n jury to-day. After .snmnuiig-up tlio evidence, tho coroner smbmilted three questions for tho consideration of the jury, who answered them as follow:— (1) Are you of opinion that the dealli of lilsie Alexandra Holland was the result of an illegal operation performed on her?— Yes, in the house of Mr.*. O'Slisiu&hnessy, nnd that the cause of death was septicaemia, following oil 'suok illegal o))oratioii. (2) Are you of opinion that (lie corrosive sublimate was placed in the mouth of the said Ivlsic Alexandra Holland in order to mislead, and so to dol'tat the ends of jnsticcF—Yes.
(!i) In view of the whole evidence, are you of opinion that the operation was performed by any particular person, and, if so, who, in yom opinion, is thai person ?—There is not sufficient evidence to determine by whom the illegal operation Was performed.
