The continuous kinematographic enters tainment, in aid of tho Hepplc fund, pro-' vided at the Opera House yesterday by Messrs. Fuller and Sons, (ho well-known, theatrical firm, was well patronisad. No charge was made for admission, but a number of young ladies, armed with col-lection-boxes, and stationed at points ot vantage around the entrances, were ever' on the alert, and, by their efforts, considerably augmented the fund. During an interval Mr. J. Fuller, jiuir., introduced to the audience tho Rev. Mr. Harris, of Lower Ilutt, who gavo a brief account of the growth of tho fund, He explained how deserving this case was, and gave instances of acts of kindness and charity performed by tho late Mr. liepplc. It was hoped, beforo July 31, to collect X2OOO, and, if possible, to give per week to Mrs. Hepple until her youngest child, now seven months old, ■was fourteen years of age. Mr. J. W. Reado, the secretary of the fund, also gave a brief outline of the facts of the case. Messrs. .1. C. Williamson, Ltd., lent the Opsra House free of charge, whilst tho stall's of the Theatre Royal,' His Majesty's, and Fullers' Skating Rink all gave their' services gratuitously. BOY SCOUTS' PROPOSAL. Tho Boy Scouts are to give a grand' demonstration in the Exhibition Stadium on the evening of July 14, tho whole of the proceeds of which will be devoted to the Ilepple fund. Tickets (issued at Is. Gel.) are now being sold. These will admit to the Exhibition as well as to tho Stadium. Any money taken at the Stadium door that night will also be devoted to tho fuiid. I.u tho list of tho women's subscriptions for the Ilutt, in yesterday's issue, is was stated that Staff Superintendent Roy had donated JCIO. This should kavo read XI. Our Pctone correspondent writes:—The Hepple Fund Committee have resolved that all lists must be returned by July 31st. Final arrangements have been made for the production of "Cinderella" at tho Palaco Theatre, Petone, next Fridav, and also for tho Mascotte Picture Company's vundovillo entertainment next Tuesday, and tho concert organised by 1 Mrs. Bunny and Dr. Purdv, which is to ' bo held at King Goorge Theatre, Lower ■ Hutt, next Wednesday.
