Mr. Samuel Mauger, ox-Postniaster-General of Australia, speaking at Whitfield's Tabernacle, explained the improvements in labour conditions duo to the Australian Wages Boards.' He declared that success was only possible when the employed realised the employers' difficulties. If the employed were determined to squeeze the last drop of blood, the employers would .squeeze the last drop of sweat, and the legislation would prove a failure. . '
