BRISK DEMAND FOE WEDDING RINGS. By Toleeraph—Press Association—CouyrleM (Rcc. July 3, 9.40 p.m.) Sydney, July 3. In giving evidence before tho Royal Commission which is inquiring into alleged shortage of labour in the State, Mr. Coote, a manufacturing jeweller, stated that he had turned down orders to the. extent of .£IOOO weekiy, owing to his inability tn obtain sufficient labour. He had recently sent an order to England for forty men. The' demand for engagement and wedding rings was very brisk at present.
