WOOL, HIDE & TALLOW SALES

Messrs. Murray, Roberts, aud Co., Ltd., report:-Uo oilcrcrt yesterday 90 bales of wool, oCCO sheeptlu'ns, 2CO hides, and seve. rat lots of tallow. The attendance w.is good, and we experienced a keen sale with animated bidding. Prices remained on a, par with late rates for sheepskins. Hides firmed to the extent of an eighth to an occasional farthing per lb., aud wool lots, with the exception of crutchings, which were occasionally a farthing cheaper, remained steady. We cleared our catalogue, at prices named below.:—Wool: Crosshred lleecc. 73d. to Sid. per lb.; pieces, bellies, etc.. W. to 5Jd. per U>.; crutchings, good to medium, 6d. lo 6.id. per lb.; seedy, heavy, inferior, 4d. to SJ:I. per lb. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their sale held yesterday as follows:—We offered our usual catalogue to a, fair attendance of buyers, and bidding was keen for all classes of produce, prices remaining firm at late rates. We quote:— Wool: Good crutchings, 6d. to 6*d.; medium, 5Jd. to 53d.; seedy, 4jd. to 4Jd.; lambs, 7Jd. Skins: Medium three-quarter wools. 6?d.; coarse, 6Jd.; half wools, 6jd. to 61d.; quarter wools, sd. to Sid.; lambs. Ed. to 6Jd.; dead. sd. to Sid.; inferior and shorts, "id. to 4d.; butcher's half-dry and green heavies, ss. to 6s. 6d. to 6s. lid.; medium, ss. 3d. to ss. 10d.; light. 4s. sd. to 55.: shorn lambs. 2s. lOd. to 3s. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report as follows:—We offered about 50 bales of wool, 1400 skins, about 100 hides, calfskins, and taltow. There was a good attendance of buyers, and bidding was keen. Crutchings, owing to absence of ordtrs, were lower by id. to jd. per lb. for clean, lirht wool, and about equal to last sales' closing rotes for heavy and seedy lots. Skins, hides, and tallow sold well up to late rates.
