The attendance w.is good, and we experienced a keen sale with animated bidding. Prices remained on a, par with late rates for sheepskins. Hides firmed to the extent of an eighth to an occasional farthing per lb., aud wool lots, with the exception of crutchings, which were occasionally a farthing cheaper, remained steady. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report as follows:—We offered about 50 bales of wool, 1400 skins, about 100 hides, calfskins, and taltow. There was a good attendance of buyers, and bidding was keen. Crutchings, owing to absence of ordtrs, were lower by id. to jd. per lb. for clean, lirht wool, and about equal to last sales' closing rotes for heavy and seedy lots. Skins, hides, and tallow sold well up to late rates.
