At a Portsmouth Picture Palace during the exhibition of a kinematograph picturo of tho naval review tho film ignited and tho operator, who was unable to extinguish it, closed tho apertures of the operating cabinet and rushed out of tho hall. A cry of 'Tire!" was raised and the audience, numbering two thousand, rushed terror-stricken to tho doorways. Many wore crushed, and a number of women fainted. It is considered miraculous that' there were no fatalities.
