1 ■ LONG DEBATE IN THE SENATE. lly Telccraph—Preßs Association -Oooyriehl (Rec. June 28, 0.10 a.m.) Washington, June 27. Tho Senate has rejected Senator Root's amendments to the paper clauses of the Reciprocity Bill by an overwhelming vote. Further amendments have been proffered with a view to raising the whole tariff question. The Reciprocity Agreement was bitterly attacked during a seven hours' debate on the Bill.
