Tho quarterly meeting of tho Loyal Britannia Lodge. 1.0.0.V.M.1-., was held on Monday cvcninK- There was a large attendance of brethren, including yisit-in-r members from the >OTth Canterbury ' ami Lvttolton' districts. Two candidates ' were iiiitiated, and several new members i were proposed, and the usual election ot ■ officers took place. During tho evening : the acting N.G., P,P.CM. liro. Madelcy, ' asked P.P.G.M. Bre. Caterer to present the P.P. Dep. CM., lire 1 . M. Griffiths, ) a centenary jewel which had been lor- : warded by tho Loyal City of Jvorwicli ■ Lodge, for presentation, m appreciation ' of the services which Bio Griffiths hid ' rendered the lodges in Lytic Hon and Wel- -■ lington during his membership of over 3i years. In presenting the jowcl, Hro. Caterer slated that ho had known the brother for over 27 year?, during which ho had known the recipient as a goml , Oddfellow, and one who worked stronn- ; ouslv for the good of the Order. Bro. ' Griffiths responded, and also thanked the 3 lodge for arranging the presentation on a behalf of his lodgo at Lytteltau.
