M'llroy in the chair, it was decided, as the Awapuni racecourse was not available, to hold its first trotting meeting on the Ashhurst course, which had been offered at a rental of .fitO. A programme, with stakes of £200, was drawn up and approved. At a meeting of the executive of the Manawatu Hockey Association last night, Miss Bramlcy, of the Wellington Hiiie1110a Club, was appointed the Manawatu representative on the New Zealand Ladies' Hockey Association. The following team was selected to represent. Manawatu in the representative match with Wangamji, at Palmerston, on • July 12:—Sorensen, Walkley. Kcrslake, Bason, M'Gregor.
