LABOUR IN MINES.
INTERNATIONAL EIGHT HOURS' DAY. By Tcleirra,pli—Press Association—Oopyrient (Rec. June 26, 11.15 p.m.) London, Juno 20. There is a strong Labour movement in favour of an international treaty regulating labour in mines on tho basis of a universal eight hours' day, calculated from tho first departure from tho pithead to the first arrival thereat on tho return journey. Various Governments have been approached with reference to tho matter.
